Water in the Classroom

Since we do not have access to water in the classroom, we have no drinking fountains. I believe it is important to drink as much water as possible throughout the day, so you will be allowed to bring a small bottle of water to keep at your desk. You must follow the following rules to maintain this privilege:

  1. Water bottle must be no larger than 0.5 L in size without cases or straps.
  2. Only room temperature water is allowed. No ice or refrigeration will be acceptable due to the condensation, or moisture that collects on the outside of the bottle.
  3. Bottles must be taken home daily for washing. Any bottles left in the classroom will be thrown away.
  4. Bottles are to be filled before school, at recess or at lunch, and you will not be excused from class lessons to fill your water bottle.
  5. If usage of the water bottle becomes a problem, then the privilege can be revoked at any time. (That means the teacher can say you cannot have water in the classroom for a period of time.)

If everyone follows the above expectations, then we will all be happy and no one will need to leave the room and miss instruction in order to get a drink.
